When you sign in with a social account (Google, Microsoft, or LINE), we receive your name and email address. We store receipt images and the data extracted from them (vendor name, date, amount, tax number). We do not collect payment information or passwords.
To authenticate you and maintain your session. To store your receipts and extracted data for a minimum of 7 years as required by law. To provide AI-powered receipt recognition features. To enforce daily upload limits and prevent abuse.
Your receipt data is stored securely. We retain your data for a minimum of 7 years to meet Japan's 電子帳簿保存法 (Electronic Bookkeeping Act, Act No. 44 of 1998) and related tax law requirements. Audit log records (access history) are also retained for 7 years.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your personal information with third parties. Receipt images are processed by AI solely for text extraction; no data is retained by the AI provider beyond the processing request.
Under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (個人情報保護法, Act No. 57 of 2003), you have the right to request disclosure, correction, deletion, or suspension of use of your personal data. You can export all your data as CSV from within the application at any time. To exercise any right or request account deletion, contact our Personal Information Manager at contact@shinshin-ai.com. We will respond within 30 days.
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
To maintain a tamper-proof audit trail required by the 電子帳簿保存法, we automatically collect: IP address, browser/app User-Agent string, and timestamps for every data-modifying operation. This data is retained for 7 years and is used solely for compliance and fraud prevention purposes.
We use the following processors: (1) Cloudflare — CDN and security; data may transit through servers in the US, EU, and other regions under Standard Contractual Clauses. (2) AI providers (OpenAI / Anthropic) — receipt images are sent for text extraction only and are not retained beyond the request. (3) Authentication providers (Google, Microsoft, LINE) — used for sign-in only; we receive only your name and email.
